- FAQ
An online catalog is like a small shop window you can send to customers.
They open a link, browse the products you chose, and contact you if they want to order. It is useful when you do not need a full online store, but still want something cleaner than sending product photos one by one in chat.
Good Uses for Catalogs
Use a catalog when you want to share a focused product list:
- 🆕 New arrivals for the month
- 🎁 Seasonal promos or limited offers
- 💼 Wholesale lists for resellers
- 👤 A shortlist for one customer
- 🔗 A link in your Instagram bio or WhatsApp message
Online Catalog requires an active paid subscription and the right access in the business.
Create a Catalog
On Mobile
- Open More → Online Catalog
- Tap Add or the + button
- Enter the catalog details
- Choose products
- Save
On Web
- Go to web.kelola.co
- Open Catalog
- Click Create Catalog
- Enter the catalog details
- Save
💡 Give the catalog a name your team will recognize. New Arrivals - June is easier to manage later than Catalog 1.
Write a Welcome Message
The welcome message is the first small note customers see. Keep it friendly and useful.
Good examples:
- “Welcome! Chat us on WhatsApp if you want to order.”
- “These are our latest products for this month.”
- “Prices are valid while stock lasts.”
⚠️ Avoid putting links in the welcome message. Kelola blocks URLs there so the catalog stays clean and safe for customers.
Choose the Products
You can include all products or choose only certain products.
For most customer-facing catalogs, selected products work better. A focused catalog is easier to browse, especially when the customer opens it from WhatsApp on a phone.
Before sharing, check:
- ✅ Product names are clear
- ✅ Important products have photos
- ✅ Prices are up to date
- ✅ Out-of-stock products are not featured unless you still want inquiries
Choose Which Prices to Show
Catalogs can show different price information depending on your settings.
| Price Setting | When to Use It |
|---|---|
| Selling price | Normal customer catalog |
| Cost price | Internal team use or trusted wholesale discussion |
| Both prices | Internal comparison or special business use |
| No price | When customers should ask before ordering |
⚠️ Be careful with cost price. Only show it to people who are supposed to see your buying price.
Enable WhatsApp Checkout
Turn on WhatsApp Checkout if you want customers to continue the order conversation directly from the catalog.
- Enable WhatsApp Checkout
- Enter the WhatsApp number customers should contact
- Save the catalog
- Share the catalog link
📱 Customers can browse first, then message you through WhatsApp.
WhatsApp Checkout is not a full e-commerce checkout. Payment, delivery, and order confirmation still happen between you and the customer.
Share the Catalog
After saving, open the catalog from the list and use the share or copy link action.
You can share it through:
- Instagram bio
- Social media
- SMS
💡 If you are sending it to one customer, add a short personal message before the link. It usually feels better than sending only the URL.
Edit or Delete a Catalog
Edit a catalog when products, prices, or the welcome message need to change.
- Open Online Catalog or Catalog
- Select the catalog
- Choose Edit
- Update the details
- Save
✅ Shared links update after you save changes.
Delete a catalog when it is no longer relevant, such as an old promotion or a private list that should not stay online.
Check Catalog Views
Kelola shows simple catalog analytics:
| Metric | What It Tells You |
|---|---|
| Views today | Whether today’s sharing is working |
| Views in the last 30 days | Whether the catalog still gets attention |
Use the numbers as a signal:
- High views but few messages? Review the products, photos, prices, or welcome message.
- Low views? Try sharing again with a clearer message.
Common Issues
I Can’t Create a Catalog
Check that your business has an active paid subscription, that you have access to manage catalogs, and that you have not reached your plan’s catalog limit.
The Welcome Message Will Not Save
Remove any URL from the message and keep it within the character limit.
WhatsApp Checkout Will Not Turn On
Make sure the WhatsApp number is filled in correctly. Include the country code when needed.
Products Are Missing
Check that the products still exist, that they were selected for this catalog, and that your product data has synced.
FAQ
Q: Can customers buy directly from the catalog?

Q: Can I hide prices?
A: Yes. Use the price visibility settings to control what customers see.
Q: Can I see who viewed my catalog?
A: Kelola shows view counts, such as today and the last 30 days. It does not show individual visitor identities.
Q: Do product changes update the catalog?
A: Catalogs use your current product data. Review shared catalogs after changing important product details or prices.
