Get up and running with Kelola in under 5 minutes. Learn the basics of adding products, managing stock, and recording your first sale.

By the end of this guide, you’ll be able to:
- Add your first product to Kelola
- Record a stock purchase (stock in)

📋 Before You Start
Make sure you have:
- Downloaded the Kelola app (iOS or Android)
- Created an account or logged in
- Created your first business (or joined one)
New to Kelola? Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
Step 1: Add Your First Product
Products are the foundation of your inventory. Let’s add one now.
- Open the Kelola app and tap “Products” at the bottom
- Tap the ”+” button in the top right corner
- Enter your product details:
- Product Name (required): e.g., “Organic Coffee Beans 250g”
- SKU/Barcode (optional): Your product code
- Category (optional): e.g., “Beverages”
- Price (required): Selling price to customers
- Initial Stock (optional): Current quantity on hand
- Tap “Save” — your product is now in the system!
💡 Tip: You can add a product photo by tapping the camera icon. This helps staff identify products quickly.
Step 2: Record Stock In (Purchase)
Now let’s record inventory coming into your business.
- From the main menu, tap “Stock In”
- You’ll see a two-panel screen:
- Left side: Your product catalog
- Right side: Items you’re adding to stock
- Find your product by scrolling or using the search bar
- Tap the product to add it to the right panel
- Enter the quantity received (e.g., 50 units)
- (Optional) Set the buying price — what you paid per unit
- (Optional) Select a supplier — who you bought from
- Tap “Submit” at the bottom
✅ Success Check: Your product stock has increased! You can verify this by going to Products and checking the quantity.
Step 3: Record a Sale (Stock Out)
Let’s record your first sale.
- From the main menu, tap “Stock Out”
- Find and tap the product you want to sell
- Enter the quantity being sold (e.g., 2 units)
- (Optional) Select a customer — track who bought it
- (Optional) Set the selling price — defaults to your set price
- (Optional) Add notes — e.g., “Cash payment”
- Tap “Submit”
✅ Success Check: Your inventory has decreased and a transaction record was created!
Step 4: Check Your Dashboard
See your business at a glance.
- Tap “Home” at the bottom of the screen
- View your today’s summary:
- Total sales
- Items sold
- Low stock alerts
- Scroll down to see recent transactions

You’ve just completed the core workflow of Kelola:
Add Product → Stock In → Stock Out → View Dashboard
